    Wow holy shit Im so happy right now, thanks man I didnt even know that. I was so pissed that Id wasted 15 dollars and could never have my shit saved on this game but YAY! Thanks a ton Im quite freakin happy right now. Time to go play it again finally!

    So I'm ridiculously addicted to Geometry Wars 2. I sat down to play for 10 minutes after work yesterday and when I got up for supper it was 8pm.

    If you like SRPGs at all (shit like Advance Wars) you should at least play the demos for both Band of Bugs and Commanders: Attack of the Genos.

    If you don't own it, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Still the best $10 you can spend on XBLA.

    But seriously, the inverted castle is a fucking bitch.

    It's really only hard at the beginning. Once you get a foothold in the inverted castle, it's not too bad with a few exceptions.


    Yeah, you can just grit your teeth through the Inverted Castle up to the Library, then grab a Crissaegrim from the ghosts. Then the game goes all FFT w/ Orlandu. It really, really trivializes the entire game.

    I feel your pain. Except i dont have an option to play online at the moment. And the Geometry Wars devs didnt feel the need to leave in the ability to save your highscores unless you are online.

    I think there are a ton of great design decisions in the game, but the best one by far (or worst, depending on your point of view) is the fact that a quick double-tap of A brings you right back into the game. I do it purely out of habit now, so "Hey, I have three minutes to play Deadline" becomes staying up until midnight to top my score.

    Castle Crashers is a little disappointing.

    The game is great, but really, that's the best "humour" they can come up with? Animals pooing?

    Alien Hominid was effortlessly hilarious. I'm not completely averse to low brow humour by any means, but when it's as unoriginal and witless as this, I can't help but frown disapprovingly.

    I thought the odd weapons were more funny than the poop humor. Nothing like beating hordes of enemies with a chicken, lobster, or steak. Really the game is fun enough and replayable enough for me to justify spending the points on it, and so far I've only played by myself. I'm still trying to get a second controller to get my wife or kid playing with me. That and the friends I play Halo with need to get it too so I can play with them as well.

    edit: Completely forgot about the catfish and sock puppet. Also the reference to T2 kinda made me chuckle.

    I dunno, I laughed through most of it. Maybe I'm just easily entertained, or still a little kid inside. :D
    Comon, you didn't laugh at how absurd a lot of the things were? A literal catfish? The dragon with the sock puppet? The little animal orbs like bi-polar bear? I mean, the whole thing is hilarious. Also, I'll admit I totally lost it with the pooping animals. I'm a sucker for poop humor.

    Yeah, the poop jokes just annoyed me more than anything, especially when showing the game to people who don't regularly play them. Just felt like it gives the wrong impression. The rest of the stuff can be pretty funny, though.

    The fact that I can slap a bear with a salmon more than overrides all the sophomoric poop jokes.

    The best humor for me, though, comes from spotting all of the other game homages. I knew I was in love when they had a River City Ransom reference in the title credits. <3

    I got to the first princess while playing with a friend..... That was unexpected, and the hardest ive laughed at it so far.
    Also i dont mind poop jokes. Just thinking of some of them still make me giggle. teeheehee

    So has anyone picked up Shred Nebula? Nope, didn't think so. It's Friday & I have yet to see a single review of the game anywhere online. I tried the demo and thought it was moderately fun and looked like it would be fun in multiplayer (although it doesn't look like enough people will buy it to create an active multiplayer community), though I think I'll probably pass on it.

    I was kind of excited for it, because i'm a sucker for space ship games, but i was really turned off by the totally awkward controls. I guess they were going for a Escape Velocity type control scheme, but it didn't translate well to the controller. Maybe i'll give it another shot this weekend.

    I've got a Hori stick that won't work for CC (controls aren't changeable :X), but its perfect for button-mashing games like All You Can Quaff. I'll have to take it for a spin in the near future and kick some ass.

    I thought four players squaring down against a princess was hilarious.

    The ending is hilarious.

    The cyclops is hilarious.
    The zombie groom was fucking HILARIOUS
