Fighting games at PAX

I've never had any competition in any fighting game, but I'd love to find some fellow fighting game fans and get myself raped, or show the ropes of what I know to people who are unfamiliar with fighting games. The only games I'm particularly proficient in are Third Strike and Super Dragon Ball Z, but I'm up for just about any 2D fighter and maybe some 3D fighters as well. I'll be bringing every relevant fighting game I own to PAX, and I hope I'm not the only fighting game fan PAer attending.

The gods smile today, as I am bringing Soul Caliber 3, Guilty Gear XX and Capcom vs. SNK 2. I will throw down in any fighting game tho.

    Bring... it... on...

I own all of which, and would be happy to play the first two, but will still gladly play some Soul Calibur (not much of a Soul Calibur fan, or 3D fan in general, but I've never given it a chance). I should spend all of tomorrow playing every fighting game I can to prepare.

I should pick up SC3 and hold onto a copy of CvS2.

I relish the opportunity at competiton, I look forward to PAX.

    Oh shi-

Awesome. I'm not the least bit used to arcade sticks, but I'll still gladly take the opportunity to play my beloved CPS3.

I don't remeber what the name of the machine. I think it was red-earth. Which listed here http://cps2shock.retrogames.com/gamelist.html

Means its basically wasn't released. Uber rare. Ya.. I want to thank the guy who brought that.

Yes, I'm familiar with Warzard. Hopefully it's available this year, I'd love to play it.

I think the Budokai series is more fun than the new Super game. They tried to make it more of an in-depth fighter, but didn't do too well. Most of the moves are still fairly similar among characters. Plus, you don't really get the full over-the-top DBZ feel.

Totally different producers, it wasn't the Budokai team taking the games in a different direction.

The moves are all vastly different, and each character is very unique.

Over the top is anime, the game was based on the manga.

I'm trying to be polite, but I'll be honest and say the first thought that came to mind when I read your post was "gon get raped". You're entitled to your opinion, I just disagree completely.

Good question. I'm preregistered, are you? Have you been to PAX before, and if so do you know of any good meeting places at the convention center?
