The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Rules: no sequels, just come up with streight concepts. like:
I'd like to see an episodic, open world game that is about a brand new comic book style superhero, made up by either DC or Marvel, or even a character which you create, and your decisions determine different things about you. the key though is that its episodic and open world, because I'd like to have like a comic book that you play instead of just read. just a thought.
A Mario game like an RPG where you can level up, get nice items, add people to your party including a cloud, a puppet, and heck, even Bowser, with all sorts of awesome new characters, and hilarious script writing. All on the wii.
And new.
Edit: Or heck, a port, I don't care, I just want more of Mario RPG. And yes I know that disobeys the rules you laid out, but still. More Mario RPG PLEASE.

This is the same idea that Tom Hanks came up with in Big.
I'd like to see a turn based tentacle rape simulator for the Wii. It'd support up to 8 Wii remotes all requiring Wii Motion+, each remote obviously being a tentacle. Be one hell of a party game.
A sandbox game with a full 3d ocean, where you both sail on the surface and explore the depths, where you discover new islands and underwater wrecks and caves.
Sort of like a Wind Waker/Endless Ocean hybrid, but minus the zelda trappings of the one (although not, I stress, the graphics) or the small, limited areas of the other.

I like this idea but depending on what you find, a little Zelda puzzle action would be fun. If you come across pirate treasure or something, and have to piece together where it is buried, and get past all the traps. That would be quite a good game. Unless sailing was boring, that is.
Have said this before and will continue to say it: Turn Based Strategy based on Star Wars universe (think Final Fantasy Tactics). The bonus is that certain levels will be on planets while others will involve space ship combat on a cube rather than a grid (you can move back, foward, left, right, up and down).
I want a game where you're a wannabe pirate and you wander around an Island solving puzzles, trying to prove to people you're a pirate. And there should be a love interest, perhaps a female mayor, and also a villain, perhaps an evil zombie pirate. And monkeys. I want LOTS of MONKEYS! And root beer.

Have you tried Endless Ocean for the Wii? Not quite what you're talking about but close.

Well, yes, I'm all for the treasure hunting.
I was more meaning not having substantial areas of game unrelated to the ocean at all.
The underwater caves could have quite a bit of variety and puzzles to them, too.
If it has Wind Waker style sailing (but fixing the many map problems), the sailing alone would be fun.

Mentioned in my post, actually :P
It doesn't let you sail around with direct, Wind-Waker control, and only lets you swim within areas under certain limitations.
Thanks, but not at all what I'm after here.

That could be awesome.
Talking about SRPGs, I want Dragon Quest Tactics.
Only if you can capture and breed monsters. Then I would play it constantly.
An Arthurian sandbox game. You're a knight, you go around England finding adventures and saving damosels. Maybe use the "Glory" system from the PENDRAGON RPG.
THE AVENGERS as a co-op beat-em-up game. Make characters selectable so you can have Steed and Peel, or Steed and Cathy, or Emma Peel and Tara King, or Purdey and Gambit, etc. Add some story and espionage elements a la NO ONE LIVES FOREVER.
I'm always reluctant to give out ideas in this kind of thread, but this one I think bears people giving opinions - would anyone play a game that puts you in the role of a dictator trying to tread on his people? Eliminating art, keeping original thought at a minimum. Does such a game already exist? It's best described as a Tetragrammaton micromanagement sim, as it exists in my head right now.

a sim game with you as the dictator, nothing like crushing art or anything. http://wbmgame.com/icehole/simjunta.htm you can cut the education budget to zilch though
I want a zombie game set in the mall. Where you can go in stores and use items from there as weapons. Also chainsaws.
That sounds like a terrible idea for a game.
if you hate fun.
Since I've been replaying lots of gta stuff myself, there are a few good game ideas from the propaganda in the game, such as Liberty City Survivor from a commercial in gta 3 which is probably what GTA IV's multiplayer is in current form.
I'd just like to play an RPG set in the present day or near future, not in space or anything. Just with current technology.

Fuck. I would have liked to make that.

My thoughts exactly. This needs to happen!
If I had any capacity whatsoever to code full 3d games I'd probably be trying it.
2D's about my limit, though.
