Ive got a Motorolla V551 and I'm trying to set up the phone lock feature. I've had the phone for over 2 years now and I've got no clue in hell what I set the password to back then, and I've tried every reasonable thing I could have set it to.
What can I do?
I'd love to be the one disappoint you when I don't fall down
If you enter it too many times then you will lock yourself out permanently, and you'll need to get the manufacturer to unlock it, and it's a massive hassle. Turn it off, then on again. Find the default code from your manual (I think Motorola's is 000000, or 1111, but it varies by carrier for SIM, not sure whether it does for the phone itself).
I used to lock mine, but then I reasoned that if I lose it, no-one can phone me or find out my number to return it. Now I only use the feature that only asks for a PIN if the SIM is changed.
