So, as of recently I cannot access any Google webpages. Not Gmail, not Google maps, not even google.com. Yet, nothing stops me from accessing any other site - Yahoo, Penny Arcade, etc. I checked my router settings and my firewall settings - I didn't find anything obvious that would block me from going to google. The last time google worked for me was just before I tried Opera for a little while, then Firefox 3. Then nothing could get me to google. Even with both uninstalled (yes, I'm using IE right now...) google is beyond my reach.
I work IT for a local high school - nothing too complicated over there, but I do know a little bit about computers. I am honestly flabbergasted.
Any ideas? I'd love to be able to check my gmail on my own computer.

Looks like packets are getting to your router (or whatever your first hop device is there) and then disappearing. Can you plug your computer directly into your DSL/cable modem/whatever to eliminate and it being something up in your router?
Ah-ha! You were right - the router was the problem. I went back into the router settings and this time found the problem. I don't know how I missed it the first time!
