there's not really enough info there to say what the problem is. have you checked all your cables? cycled power? tried a video reset (turn the ps3 off and hold down the power button for ten seconds when you restart it)?
I'll get back to you with more details later. Hopefully the next update fixes this; I'm assured it's the update causing the problems.

Was in the middle of a CoD4 match and the sound cut out. Checked all my audio stuff; nothing wrong there. So I left the match and I got a black screen. From the black screen I could get to the XMB. I chose to quit game. It took me back to a black screen with the green and blue buttons on the PS3 still lit up. I held the PS button for 10 seconds and it beeped twice, then did nothing for a bit. I go to hit open on the PS3, and it flashes a bit, no game comes out. It suddenly goes back to the screen where you choose the user. I hit the eject button on the PS3 again and the game comes out fine.
Is it just CoD, or my system?
Any help would be great.
