This is a game where you do rolling things up with a Katamari.
Things you can do in this game
You can roll a cow
You can roll a bear
You can roll a mouse
You can roll a burger
You can roll a people
You can roll a baby
You can roll an ugly child
You can roll a bicycle
You can roll a bunch of hot food and then some cold food and then some hot food to make a big katamari
You can roll a penguin which is like a cold food
You can roll a cloud but I haven't gotten that far yet
I enjoy this game and like rolling things up and I am glad I can finally play Katamari on a console that is not for fags. I do not do very good at rolling though sometimes so please give me tips on being more best at rolling.
Update: This was actually a hilarious throwback to the thread you had locked directly prior to making this one. But I guess it was a little too hilarious.
Why don't you care for the PS2? I have the first two Katamari games for it and they're a load of fun, and the soundtrack for at least Katamari Damacy is pretty awesome. I haven't picked up Beautiful yet though, mainly because I've heard lots of bad things about in comparison to the other games. Of course at this point I forget exactly what the complaints were...but I'm tempted to pick it up now that it can be had for $20 or less.
Tube, have you done that level yet where you have to get the Katamari to a certain temperature?
I hated that level.
Yeah I just finished it for the second time (didn't save). It was good that you could make a massive katamari but the instant death element was not good.

So far that's the only part I didn't like about the game. I was all rolling along and then FUCK POPSICLE.
It's a little too short, though. I wish that the DLC had just been included in the retail package.
PS2, since I don't think it's on any of those other platforms.
There is sort of a Katamari game for the PS2. It was released on Steam recently and is called something like The Wonderful End of the World. You don't roll anything, you absorb stuff into this small body made of balls, and as you absorb stuff, you get bigger and are able to absorb bigger things. The concept, and the visual execution is a pretty blatant rip-off though, and honestly, a lot of the items look cheap in comparison to even Katamari, but it still has a cute enough personality of its own.

Funny, I actually just bought this today at a local Toys R Us. It was on clearance for $9.98, and when I bought it, it turned out that there was an additional 20% off on all clearance games. I think I got a good deal.
I haven't opened it yet. It's currently in a bag, being investigated by the kitten.
Got this from Gamefly once upon a time. Played it for about 2 hours, and sent it back. I think I experienced everything I needed to in that game in that amount of time.
I hadn't bought it yet because I thought $40 was an unreasonable price for Katamari, but now I'd imagine it's down pretty low, so I'll probably pick it up sometime.
It is on PS3, right? I think I'd prefer the symmetrical joysticks for this one.

It's so relaxing.

i bought this for ten dollars and while i wouldn't say it's a waste, i just don't like it as much
i think it's probably the very small amount of different levels in beautiful katamari

assuming they kept them in BK, that is. I haven't been able to play it yet

Oh.
Yes.
PS2. Both the first two games are on it.
Other than that, it's fine.

That papercraft prince looks a lot like Aerith
Makes me a sad little green man.
Not if you have a PS2, as both PS2 versions are better and cheaper.
Is it worth getting Beautiful Katamari on the 360?
EDIT - I guess the above post just answered my question. What is not good about the 360 version?

Unless you try to get them at Gamestop, where they're trying to use used copies of each for $25.
Don't go to Gamestop, kids. Just say no.
I ROLLED UP THE SUN
You aren't pushing it to the limit.
The king is bigger than the sun.

A lot of people seem to dislike the system's penchant for console ports, but I'm loving this kind of stuff.

My Backloggery
it's basically we katamari but with 2 levels
buyer beware
Beautiful Katamari has more levels than the previous games.
Hell, the first game really only had three levels.
All my friends look really confused when I show them the game. Then they play it and just keep rolling and rolling and rolling and rolling and
