I'm looking for synthesizer heavy, heart pounding soundtracks / music ala Rocky IV soundtrack. Help me find some cheesy music, PA!

M83 is what you are looking for. Stop whatever you are doing, and listen to their awesomeness. Look for Teen angst from the Before the Dawn Heals Us albumme.

The theme from Miami Vice comes to mind, as well as Axel F from Beverly Hills Cop.

If you want synth-driven 80s pop/rock too, give Africa by Toto, and The Final Countdown by Europe a try.

Devo's "Freedom Of Choice" might be some of what you're looking for. Aside from the synth it isn't really all that cheesy, but it's actually a really good album on its own rights.

Cheesy, synth-heavy, epic-ish, 80's music? Europe is the answer. The Final Countdown is the definition of cheesy ass, synth heavy, 80s music. They also have many other songs that will fit the bill, but The Final Countdown is certainly their most famous.

    Awesome suggestions all around, guys.

I decided to go with Separate Ways by Journey. Perfect mix of synth and cheese for my needs.

The Final Countdown was a little too recognizable, and M83 was a bit too modern.

    Anyway, thanks again!
