I've been told several things about my Boston accent. A few girls have said my voice is ridiculously hot. On the other end of the spectrum, some people say that Boston accents are really annoying. I'm going to go with the former.

I am from Alabama, but do not have a Southern accent. And even if I did, I live in California now, which is where accents go to die.
Also, for those of you who said "Southern accents are great!", remember, there are basically two Southern accents.
1) The rich, refined accent, sort of like what you hear in, say, Gone With the Wind or the "Lost City of Atlanta" episode of Futurama.
2) The red neck accent, sort of like what you hear when people are talking about the tornado that hit their mobile home on the news or Cletus on the Simpsons.
The former sounds attractive. The latter is not.
Ninja edit: I do say "y'all", though. It is not my fault English lacks a second-person plural pronoun nowadays.

It really, really depends with the Boston accent. I would say that like 60% of the people with HARD Boston accents sound like huge douchebags almost all the time, but that also may have something to do with the Boston attitude/personality rather than accent.
If you have a subtle one, though, it can sound way better; distinctive without annoying.

But that's because everyone hates Boston! It's not the accent causing the hatred, it's the legitimate hatred for various good reasons reflecting badly upon a neutral dialect.
EDIT: I don't like how easy it is to make fun of Bostonians now.*
After agreeing on the idiocy of the general population of Boston, that's not the fairest argument (also I don't know if I was 18 last time he was voted in).
hey would anyone be remotely interested in playing starcraft or warcraft 3 online
I'm thinking of starting a thread
I like WC3 but I haven't played the actual game in....years probably. DotA-style custom maps are super fun. Tower Defenses also. There is something therapeutic in amassing a wall of towers to slaughter mobs all the live long day.

Irish. I love the sound of the Irish.
There's a couple of Irish contractors at work, and I could listen to them all day.
All the talk of south african accents made me remeber this from around a year ago, as I know a few saffers this just makes me cry with laughter, I couldn't find my favourite clip but i like these ones too.

and it depends but arabic accents can be super hot as well
Funny, I just notice over-pronounced "R"s the most when Americans speak.
Not the over the top french you hear on TV, but real french accents
I thought I liked english accents as well, but most of them are actually very un-sexy, this coming from my own experience.
Then there are some local swedish accents that are pretty sexy to me as well, but you guys don't know about those.<3
Värmländska and Göteborgska.
One of those I do not what the hell they are saying
Don't call me a hillbilly.
I'm with you on this.
I know some old people there. I can barely decipher what they are saying when they make an effort of speaking slowly.
To understand anything, I think you'd need to have it translated in several stages, like the crazy old farmer in Hot Fuzz

I like to think it's less of a faux pas if you type it correctly, i.e., with the apostrophe.
lets goh wel-kah
sorry, still sounds super douchey

I would totally tap the one who is female.
sad really
My Indian debate partner taught me how to do a wonderfully offensive indian accent
It's so weird going down south or to the northeast, turning on the news and hearing them talk like me.
