My wife is having a pregnancy issue...

So, as mentioned before my wife is pregnant, but for the last week or so she's been having some bleeding around noon or so every day.... Just like some very mild once a day type thing...

She's at about 5 or 6 weeks now, and all she's been doing is working a deskjob and lounging around at home... No heavy lifting or straining... She's also A- blood type....

Thoughts?

She's got an appointment tomorrow to get blood drawn... Just looking for opinions on what's up...

Bleeding sounds like something you should be talking to a medical professional about.

The Mayo Clinic is a reliable reference but of course it's no subsitute for a doctor.

It's probably nothing to worry about, but you should definitely talk to your OB/GYN about it. Bleeding during pregnancy can be caused by some very mundane things, and some serious things. The mundane things are far more common.

IME its probably just a small bledding cyst on the placenta or uteran wall, with the seepage being flushed out during flushy-outty time.

But you want to be on that friggen ASAP with OBi-GYN Kenobi, just in case it's something more major than it appears to be.

It could be nothing but I'm astonished you haven't gone to a doctor yet. It could, unfortunately, be very serious.

Seriously, go to a doctor now.

    NOW.

Unless the appointment was made because of this, you should get in the habit of calling your/her doctor over everything.

That website suggests that bleeding during the first trimester isn't necessarily a sign of something wrong, but it can be. As long as you're going to the doctor soon, definitely get it checked out. Please let us know what you learn!
