So, vent your recent "kick in the testicles" situations:


My wife and I were curious about the whole stimulus check thing, since you know, hey thats money we could really use after having to move under orders right after I returned from a 13 month deployment.

But as it turns out, since I was in a tax free zone (which is nice) for the entire year, we are not eligible for the stimulus return. I mean, I'm not a dead beat or anything, I worked my ass off.

Just a kick in the balls right now.

    My biggest gripe right now is that Allstate won't give me a discount on Renters insurance. I would get the discount if I had Auto insurance, or boat insurance, but motorcycle insurance? Naw, they must not steal enough money from me to warrant it.

    wait..why would you get a stimulus check (which is strictly speaking a tax refund) when you were living in a tax free zone?

    i didn't get the stimulus check because even though i wasn't filed as a dependent, the fact that as a college student i COULD MAYBE have been filed as a dependent disqualified me from the check

    I don't see why you would complain, sure it sucks but you didn't have the money to start with so it shouldn't really change anything.

    Also, you were tax free for a whole year, you should have some extra cash saved up from that.

    I spent my government stimulus check on rent.

    I also spent my tax return primarily on rent.

    Because my fuckabout employers at the time fucked up my transfer so I was living for a month and a half in a new town without a job.

    Hooray!

    Thank Christ that chapter of my life is closed.
