Transportation around downtown Seattle

Ok, so I am probably going to be taking a combination of a bus and a taxi around to get to places after PAX hours (I'll be in the Sheraton right next door to the expo hall). What I am looking to find out is how much you think I would run in bus and taxi fares if I wanted to hit some restaurants that are just outside the international district? In particular I am interested in visiting Bush Garden for dinner one night and know that it is a bit away from the bus lines.

Anyways if you could give me even a rough idea how much it would cost travelling that far by cab and back (as I won't be going any farther than that) I would appreciate it greatly. If I remember reading right, everyone said the bus is free down to the international district, correct?
