Boo small towns, hooray bars!

So any of you find yourselves resorting to bars and/or bonfire type things to keep yourselves occupied on the weekend. That is all that Johnstown PA has to offer and it is getting old. I often find myself driving a hour away to drink a beer or two to break the monotony of seeing the same people every weekend.

What small town activities do you small town residents do with your recreation time?

I'm not putting the bar scene down at all, it can be quite fun. I just want more than this town has to offer.

What does a big city have that the little ones don't? More bars? Or are we going for variety? I need the correct atmosphere to get sauced.

Some towns don't have bars. Like towns with 800 people. Times are boring in these towns and drinking around bon-fires is all there is to do.

If you're in PA buy a motorcycle. The roads up there are amazing. Also, bitches love bikes.

There's nothing wrong with sitting down at a bar and having a drink or two especially if you have no problems expanding on your social circle other then a bunch of people on the Internet you dress up in drag for.

I've seen busas with snow tires. Or buy a bike and a snow mobile. They both sound equally fun. There's probably a good 7 months of riding to do in PA if you have some warm gear. You poor fuckers, I get sun all year, our bike season never ends.

One time I was driving in heavy snow and my car started sliding everywhere when I went over a certain threshold of RPM.

So I dropped the car into 2nd gear slip-n-slided my way home, giggling and making spaceship noises.

haha you people... we have easements on the sides of our highways for snowmachines and four-wheelers. Driving them on the road here isn't a big deal since they're licensed anyway... usually people just drive them across the roads.

we have two notable bars here in Kenai. One is called the Rainbow Bar. The other one is called The Back Door.

Ironically, neither one is a gay bar... much to my disappointment.

not insuring your snowmachine is pretty goddamned stupid, especially when they're prone to being ridden by idiots who don't know how to ride one :D

I hadn't used the thing in years. Why would I pay insurance for something I don't use?
