XBL ID Question: How fucked am I?

So, I made an XBL ID when I got my 360 without any intention of ever really using it to play online. I entered mostly fake details, and a fake email address.

With a random password that I can't remember.

Then, with the sudden release of Soul Calibur 4 and my main competition leaving the country, I decided to spring for a Gold membership.

So now I have a 13 month XLB Gold membership on an account that I can only access because the password is saved to my system. Only thing is, the system is shared and I'd like to take some ownership of my account (because I play on other people's 360s). And now I don't know the password to a fake email address, so I can't change my email address to a real one.

How fucked am I?

    You should call Microsoft.

Indeed. Call them up, give them the info you can and they'll be able to help you get it straightened out. This is also one of those reasons that I try to write down the email, password, etc for my accounts in a notebook that I keep well hidden; I have a terrible time remembering stuff sometimes, especially when it's fake.

Good plan. I was going to do just that, I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.

Probably nobody around here as dumb as me, though.

The question is though. Do you remember any of the information you entered in when creating the account? And did you use a legitimate real address.

I've done similar things with accounts I've made, but it's usually only with things I know I'm going to use once and forget. Things like XBL are not where you should do that.

I can probably get the "who's your favourite person" question. Probably. :/

If you tell them what you told us, and then point out that it's on your credit card or can otherwise prove that it's your account, then they should be able to help you out. They may also be able to point you to where you can see your current account information, or whatever, on your 360.

If you don't know what information you entered when you created the account, you're boned. I've been trying for awhile to retrieve my original xbox live account. However I need to know the last 4 digits of the credit card I used to pay for it and the credit card expired long ago.

Every time I call Microsoft, they pretty much tell me to STFU.

Well I used a 13 month card, not a credit card, to pay for my Gold membership. Going to call MS when I wake up and see what's what. Even if I'm screwed it's not total; like I said, the account and password are saved on the HDD, I just have no way of knowing what they are.

Right, the upside is that if you don't have any of your information and they can't help you, your roomies can't lock you out of your account by using your otherwise "common" password or acct information.

If it were me, the answer to that would always be 'inquiry'.
