Wolfenstein 2009/2010
Continuation from Return to Castle Wolfenstein, uses a Rainbow Six Vegas style cover system but other than that classic gameplay with huge open environments. I just hope it holds a candle to RtcW. Developed by Raven but executively produced by id.

Post-Apocalyptic Mad Max style FPS/Racer hybrid. Rated T for Teen and produced by EA... a series of odd combinations for id, but it looks promising.

Was just officially announced at Quakecon 08. We don't really know anything about it other than the fact that it's coming out, but if we're to base anything off this quote I think we might be playing the Doom game we've been waiting for since Doom 2. It's on Earth once again, not some space station, but full on hell on earth action in the next gen:
"
Doom is part of the id Software DNA and demands the greatest talent and brightest minds in the industry to bring the next installment of our flagship franchise to Earth," said id CEO Todd Hollenshead in a statement.

So, discuss what you think about these three titles, what you hope to see in the next iterations of Wolf and Doom, and perhaps a new Enemy Territory for the new Wolfenstein? I think most can agree Quake Wars was a more than a bit of a letdown and didn't really compare with the RtcW ET.

RAGE : I want this game so hard, looks like they've created a very cool game world.
Doom 4 : Please be run and gun... But I'm sad because I doubt they will.

They weren't on the front page so I didn't see em but for what it's worth this thread merges the two.
There's a thing in the rules thread about posting just because it's not on the first page. *shrugs* You should probably check it out for future reference.
I think all wolfenstein games were very fun. I hope they bring a better endbattle this time, and maybe less zombies and more soldiers
Basically picture a third person shooter like Gears or any game that uses cover, only when you're doing anything besides being in cover its just first person. When you run into a wall it zooms out and you shoot in third person mode and stuff. Kind of lame but we'll see how it is in this game, the only game its ever worked in was Vegas.
