So, if it hasn't been posted yet (I didn't bother searching) apparently the much beloved childhood film Goonies is getting a sequel.

I doubt this will appear for at least five years if not longer. Of course, they'll have to reassemble the cast anyway, zimmer frames and all. Of course it has been in the rumour mill for ages so this could all be some website hoping to get hits.

This isnt high on my list of "sequels I'd like to see". I think it only holds up now because its dated... I foresee a CG extravaganza....

This has been rumored for years, ever since the original cast (including newly famous LOTR Samwise) did a little reunion photo-op thing.

I am not optimistic about this. We need to stop remaking/sequeling movies that really weren't that good in the first place.

I mean. It's a few years too late, but whatever. It'll probably be stright to DVD or something.

I was, and it was a great movie then.

I still watch it when it's on TV and enjoy it, I just don't think it's worth a sequel, especially now when it's just getting trotted out as a possible source of revenue.

I love the Goonies and still love it to this day. I plan on showing my children the Goonies and hopefully they will also enjoy it.

But I don't really think it warrants a sequel.

I always thought it was weird that there was a game called The Goonies 2(which was awesome) and not a second movie.

Every few years, this rumor kicks up again. Personally, I'm still waiting for Buckaroo Banzai Vs. the World Crime League to happen.

The world does not need a sequel to this movie. This is like Wes Anderson doing a sequal to The Darjeeling Limited or something.
