The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
So what we have going on now is the parliament has impeached the president and are trying to throw him out of office. The president has the power to dissolve the parliament before that happens.
Musharraf has lost a lot of his standing with the military the past few years. It's most likely that if he is impeached the military brass will be fine with it.
If there is a civil war, is the US going in there militarily?
Haha. That'll be ultimate failure.
It depends on the capacity. They have nukes on rockets, the international community as a whole has a great deal of intrest in what happens to them, and we would almost certainly take some steps to maintain some sort of border between it and afganistan.
as far as taking serious sides in the issue, I think it would a bad move, and one the US could in no way afford.

No, the Pakistani military has nukes on rockets. They aren't on either side at the moment, and if/when they do take a side that's the one which is going to win the debate. I would bank on it being Parliament, but we'll see.
At least this is due to something inconsequential like suspending justices on the supreme court and centralizing authority in the executive. Musharraf is lucky he didn't do something really horrible, like lie about getting a blowjob.

My God.
Yes I did, but I am not your messiah.
Pretty sure he is but his standing nationwide is shit right now so they may turn on him.
OK, I just find that absurd. It would be like Kwame Kilpatrick shutting down the cities police and courts to avoid going to jail.
