While I only managed to pick up the first issue I really, really enjoyed it. With that said, I've been trying to pick up the subsequent issues which I missed due to a short comic-book hiatus, and I regret it because I'm having trouble finding copies. Simple: If you can find it, and are into the whole wild, psychedelic parallel dimension-jumping thing, go for it. It's worth your while.
It's totally crazy, I'll give it that. It definitely has the 60s psychadelic interdimensional secret agent vibe down pat, and I like it. I missed the last issue, possibly because my shop is full of fools. These rumors have yet to be substantiated. It's in the FELL format so you're dropping 2 bucks for 16 pages, but Fraction makes those goddamn pages work for your 2 dollars. I don't know how he does it.
I love it. Every issue keeps getting better, at least for me, as Cassanova goes from cliched super-nihilist to actually caring about someone. I was worried that Fraction was just going for the too-cool-to-care appraoch, but it seems like he's really getting into his game.
Maybe my favorite part, interestingly enough, is the parts at the back of the book where Fraction discusses where he got his ideas for this issue, what's influincing him now, and just how amazing Ba is as an artist. They're like a director's commentary for the issue and, at least to me, just as neat as the rest of the book.
Gabriel Ba's art is amazing, as well. He's supposed to be drawing the comic for (ugh) the lead singer from My Chemical Romance, so hopefully that won't effect Cassanova.

But yeah, its part of that super-condensed wave Ellis started with Fell. Its fun, but it doesnt grab me. I will give it few more issues.
