The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
The people at my company are vying for the opportunity to create a new ad campaign. I came up with an "Engrish"set of ads. Basically, I used one of our show episodes and took it apart to make this:
i know the kind of ads youre trying to reference, so it looks about right. seeing some little things...mainly giving some of the text some space between letters "emo gay say" and the paragraph below it. and should "Holy Shit" be kept within the oval?
i would also move the "fucckkk" to the right side of the image coming out of the side, and not starting at the top of the image over the text. just use that blank space between the two images.
i know those ads aren't very graphic design important so as long as people know it's on purpose i think you're fine.
It's possibly one of life's little ironies that to make bad look good you have to be really good.
Edit: let me qualify that. If you want to do this style then fine, but don't use it to hide your lack of ability. Research it properly, and learn how to break design principles effectively.
All I feel like right now is... "WHAT!? What the hell do you want from me!?" when you've been fed up with some little kid that admires you too much and keeps nagging you about random bullocks you don't care about. You wish this little kid's parents hadn't let him out of the house. Then you realize what kind of parents this kid has when he somehow talks you into driving him to the other side of town to his house. The mom gets up from her lawn chair to drunkenly reply to your kind gesture with a laugh, "Yeah, he usually gets home somehow." Now you understand why this little kid with his sullied mohawk hangs around people. He just needed some caring compassion.
That's how I feel, but I still lack direction. What can I expect? I go to digitalfuntown.com and boy did that suck.
What is the purpose of this poster? What is it supposed to promote and to who? It's horrible and offensive, I'm sure there's a crowd out there that enjoys bukake and gay bashing, and the good news is that when you find that crowd they'll accept this whole heartedly, everyone else will hate it.
Edit: The word Campaign you've used int he title of this thread indicates that there is more than one ad. Pleeeeeeeeeease, tell me there's more of these!
I read the words. I didn't think they made much sense, which is the point...but they aren't funny either. If you're going to be offensive I think it should at least be funny. Sometimes being offensive is funny, but I think this is too all over the place.
If this were mine I don't know how I'd fix it. I really don't know what you're aiming for...
I'm not sure who you might intend to target with an ad like this but it immediately turns me off and would not get me to visit the website ever. I would probably block it.

I design ads for a living, and whatever the hell you've concocted up there is so goddamn garish it makes me want to stop looking at it as quickly as possible
so
you've managed to create an anti-advertisement
congratulations
there's probably a great job for you in bizarro world

The design is so confusing and garish that I can't make head nor tails of it....nor would I want to.
People are bombarded by advertisments every single freakin day, so throwing an ad that is obscure and ugly induces an immediate shut down of their interest. So this ad is a fail on just about every point.
The engrish doesn't work either, so kill that idea, it just reads like a spam email, which = instant ignore.
I wouldn't go as far as telling him to quit. I mean, you can't make good design only when you have a cool opportunity like a sports car ad, or a sleek laptop spread. Design oportunities are what you make them. This could be an intersting ad, if it's worked properly.
But the OP is nowhere to be seen, so I guess it's gonna stay as it is.
