Anyone else here looking forward to Fallen Earth? Alpha sign-ups are supposed to start in the next few weeks.
If you haven't heard of it before, it shares a lot of features with Pre-CU Star Wars Galaxies. If you haven't heard of that before, either, it's skill based, has a complex crafting system, has factions fighting for control, and has a strong sandbox feel. And, in addition to that, combat plays like a first or third person shooter and the vehicles can be mounted with weapons (as in Battlefield 2). Oh, and it takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland that's occupied by mutants, genetically engineered super-soldiers, violent anarchists, and zombies, among other things.
There's a better summary here, though the game has undergone a radical graphics update since then.
