Easy Question: Headphones

I'm looking to get pair of headphones for my TV to use when I want to play videogames or watch a movie late at night without disturbing the neighbors (old building, not much insulation, so sounds carry). I have a pair of Sony MDR-CD180 for my computer, which are supremely comfortable and give good sound. They have cloth ear cups, rather than that plastic/rubber covering that most headphones have. The problem with simply using these or getting another pair for the TV is that the cord is too short. So I need one like these but with a longer cord. I also can't spend a great deal of money right now, so cheap is good as long as they give good sound quality. Any suggestions?

A headphone extension may not be a bad idea, although I was debating having a separate headphone for the TV. This is definitely a cheaper solution, although the one you pointed me to seems to indicate complaints that the cord is really only about 10 feet because it's coiled so tightly (not that big of a deal, since I'm not THAT far from the TV, but I have a 40" LCD, so I have to be back a little bit) and it appears to have aluminum connectors, and I'd prefer gold-plated. I'll keep looking around, though. Thanks!

If you can tell the difference between gold-plated aluminum connectors and raw aluminum connectors on a $20 pair of headphones plugged into a TV with a nineteen cent headphone preamp chip, I will eat my left nut. I will stirfry it and eat it.

That said, here's what you want: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021802&p_id=650&seq=1&format=2

I agree. The whole nonsensical debate about cables and quality of cables (read Monster) has been long disproven across the annals of the internet, yet people still debate it. My favorite, gold plated ends on OPTICAL cables will help you get better sound. Riiiiight. The only thing that the gold plating does is make it look a little prettier.
