Cause you KNOW you LOVE DICK'S

Who: #paforums_pax regulars, idlers, now-and-again'ers and I suppose anyone else that cares to show up.

What: Eat at DICK'S. Cause--oh, whatever. Small social gathering of nerds and like-minded folk to put names to faces and chop it up before PAX.

Where: Dick's Drive-In Restaurant, 115 Broadway Ave. E., Seattle. Directions from the Convention Center: http://tinyurl.com/6lhnt6

When: 08/28/08 THURSDAY, 12:00AM (so really Friday morning I guess lol?). I know this interferes with the bar crawl and likely other activites, but no one is forcing you to go.

Why: Cause I'll be hungry when I get to Seattle. And I want to meet up IRC folks, grab some burgers and relax outside of the madness that is PAX!

How: Walk? (It's like 10mins) Drive? Taxi? Bus? Fly? Teleport? You decide.

FYI: Dick's is CASH-ONLY. So hit up the ATM (or your mattress) before you come through.

Please RSVP. I prefer people DON'T crash the party, but I'm not going to be mad/care if you do. It would just be nice to get a headcount. Even if a ton of people don't commit, I will be there regardless with two of my buddies and a couple other folks.

    Well, they do close at about 2.

    And they are insanely busy from 1 to 2. Though, the lines do go at a decent speed...

    If it's after the pub crawl, my friends and I might swing back up there before we cab it back up here to the north end. If it's DURING the pub crawl we will probably be too busy getting drunk. (not that any one cares because who am I any way)

    Thanks for the advice, I'm new to the dicks experience and I don't want to screw it up. I want the first time I eat dicks to be amazing, a moment I'll treasure.

    Hmmm. This would mean leaving the pre-PAX dinner and then going to immediately eat again. However I would then have checked 'gluttony' right off th sins list for the weekend and would no longer have to worry about it and could move to straight on the others. It is a quandry.

    Would it be possible to make it Friday night instead? I'd love to go, but the Pre-PAX Dinner and the Pub Crawl are both going on that night... and I know in the case of the Pre-PAX Dinner, there's a lot of money already paid upfront for it in terms of ET and Astayonix who're putting it together. If this was Friday instead, it wouldn't bump into it, and everyone could go to both easily! =)

    Just a suggestion, because I definitely want to hang with you Kazuo! I just can't make it if it's that close to the Pre-PAX Dinner. =( Starcraft for life! ;)

    Aye... pleeeassee Kazuo make it on Friday! I really want to hang with you, it's just that the concentration of events on Thursday makes that hard. =( What would be really cool would be if everyone came to the Dinner and the Pub Crawl on Thursday and Dick's on Friday... then everyone would have a cool group activity to do both nights, and somewhere to eat for sure. =) All three of these events are going to be awesome!

    Hell, I would go if it were on Friday, but on Thursday I'll be too busy with the dinner tear down and clean up, and then Astayonix wants to drag me to the end of the pub crawl because she's all Harry Potter-crazy and is making a costume... ugh... I am going to sleep in on Friday morning that's fo' damn sure.

    Well friday is nice and all, but with concerts till late and then room parties I think friday interferes with more events than thursday does. The only thing it "interferes" with thursday is the pub crawl, and only the very end. And not all of us are doing the pre-pax dinner, so its a chance for the rest of us to eat ^.^
