Anyone order anything from Apple recently?

So I ordered a new Macbook recently in kind of a strange way. Its basically a friend of a friend who owns the apple store up in Birmingham Alabama so shes getting me her employee 15% discount. Therefore I have made no real contact with her and my gf's parents have done all the talking. I gave her my credit card number and she said it was ordered on Saturday. Well I get a call on Monday saying the security number I gave her was wrong and I mixed up a couple numbers so I gave her the correct code on Monday and so I assume it shipped then.

So because I'm doing it in this fashion I have no order number or anythin to track when my macbook will get here. My question is, has anyone ordered a notebook or anything recently from Apple and if so how long did it take to get there typically?

    3-5 days I am an Apple Employee. If you ordered personal engraving on an iPod or something typically 5-7 just because it ships out of China.

    Ah thanks! Oh and since you work there can I ask you if there is a way to track it considering my situation? Can I like call the birmingham store and see if the have it ordered or not?

    This seems like a good place to ask, are refurb ipod touches advisable through apple? I've heard mixed stories.

    I've bought many refurbished iPods through the apple online store and they are amazing. They come looking brand spanking new and and I havent had one break down in well ever. I've been using my video iPod for about a year and a half and it works like a dream. It even comes with the warranty a new iPod would have.

    Only problem is that there are rumors going around that an updated iPod Touch might be announced in September. Thus why they are giving them away to students who buy macs. You might wanna hold off a tiny bit.

    She should've asked for your email address... they e-mail your a receipt and give you updates when it ships, a tracking number, etc. She probably just used hers when she ordered it. If you have any of this info, you can go to apple.com/orderstatus and check it.

    No. I can't go into the specifics but EPP and EPP for friends and family is not through the retail store. Essentially it is the online store, just not for everyone else.
