Need name ideas for a parrot Edit: Now with a picture!

So tomorrow I'm gonna go see a baby Greenwing Macaw that I'm probably buying and if I do, I'm obviously going to have to come up with a name. The bird has been dna sexed, so I do know that shes a female.
I also have a Sun Conure named Bird and a female Eclectus named Pazuzu. Somehow they were easy to name but I'm coming up blank on names for the Macaw.



So, anyone got any ideas?

    I'd suggest waiting and spending some time with it until something comes to you. I let my husband name the last kitten we got...it took him quite awhile, a week or two. But he came up with a great name that really suited her.

    Alternatively name it Squawkbox. I think that's cute.

    C'mon, should be obvious.

    Name it Polly. It's the parrot form of ironically naming your dog Spot or Rover or something bland, but it's for a parrot. No one gets to do it for a parrot.

    Birds have such distinct personalities (especially larger parrots like Macaws) that I'm really with Thylacine on waiting a bit to see what she's like before deciding on a name.

    My mom has kept and bred numerous parrots. Here are the names we had for them:

    Rosie
    Pecos
    Mohawk
    Keno
    Nana (it would respond whenever we would say Nana)
    Lolo
    Peanut
    Rover (this was our grey african red tail parrot that would curse in spanish)

    At a zoo nearby they always name animals in their country of origin's native language. It's usually nothing amazing when translated, just "Special" or "Brave" etc. but I bet you could find some cool names for her.

    Well, I got to go meet the birdo today. She's still really young (like just opened her eyes a few days ago young) so she looks kinda like the baby raptors at the beginning of Jurassic Park. Can't really pick up on any personality quirks yet. But there is one identifying feature, one of her toes never grew a claw. I'll try to have pictures on Monday.

    I sometimes name pets after the food they'd taste good as... I had a pet bantam chicken when I was 8 called Crispy Skin...

    The best name for female Ecclectus Parrots is Tuesday. But this is a macaw and the name is mine, so that's out.

    Chozo is proabbly the name of choice, because without feathers, the resemblance is uncanny. Or perhaps Samus as that's easier to say.

    With my pets (the ones I named, anyway) I looked for an identifying feature, and failing inspiration waited to get a feel for their personality. Except the axolotl, who was named Scytale by default.

    No, the breeder is gonna do the hand feeding. Macaws can be tricky to hand feed and are prone to stuff like yeast infections if you don't do it right.

    Ah, that's good. She'll be really cute once she gets her feathers in! Can't think of any name ideas at the moment.
