Well it opens up and says "BETA WOT IS CLOSED". I knew I was only approved for Open Beta so unless I am incredibly lucky I wasn't gonna be playing, I was just assuming that I could patch the Closed Beta client tomorrow when they release the shit.

I'd been looking forward to playing one since DoW

at least there's still the Black Orc :(

I'm surprised people still are talking about this.

Look, the class flat sucked. It play mechanics and stuff pretty much boiled down to intricate combos and craptacular fight style.

Note: I didn't actually play the choppa, but from everyone I have heard, including a dev, that's pretty much what ended up happening.

I really hope they bring back the Choppa for the sole reason that it sucks ass for there to be only one type of Orc in the entire game.

I played enough to know i very much want to buy this game, and now i'm not playing much because i don't want to ruin it for myself.

Also i played a class/race i wasnt going to play at launch so the content would be fresh.

Do they have to market either class? They're like the two most iconic classes in Warhammer.

They marketed Choppa and Hammerer more than most classes.

The only class that never had any marketing at all (minus the announcement) was the Blackguard.

I don't see how the choppa/hammerer can work as a light dps class

    maybe as a tank

but if you're supposed to get into combat and stay in combat for as long as possible to get the most out of your class, what are you going to be able to hit? Tanks? Hell, didn't one of their interviews state that support/healy classes and tanks have an advantage against melee dps -- what would the choppa/hammerer actually be good against?

Retarded people playing ranged dps classes don't count.

I thought the other melee dps like the marauder weren't so focused around grinding/charging up time in melee.

I mean, the remaining light melee classes theoretically can jump around and hit shit and still be able to use most of your abilities if you're, say, being kited. Like a rogue in WoW still generates energy while not in melee.

I don't really know much of anything other than the two melee dps classes removed were basically identical -- light melee that wanted to remain in something's face as long as possible in order to use their rage/momentum abilities.

If we're talking Warhammer universe in general, you have to go with Troll Slayer for most iconic.
