Best Wireless Router to go with new Vista 64 OS

So I bought my parents a new computer this weekend to keep them happy for the next few years.
I bought this one actually : http://www.amazon.com/Pavilion-A6500F-Desktop-Pentium-Processor/dp/B001AMCCPI

It's simple and basic for simple computer people.

Trouble is, there is a wireless router that needs to run through this computer, and the Netgear WPN824v2 wireless router that was used on the old XP system doesn't want to play nice with the new computer. Upgrading the firmware, resetting it, nothing will let the computer connect to the internet after the router is installed.

So my question is, is there a router out there that is Vista friendly that the forum recommends? The Netgear router I have now was supposed to be, but nothing was working.

Netgear is a good brand. In all, there are really 3 that I would consider "good" - D-Link, Netgear, and Linksys. Belkin is a close 4th.

If it were me, and I wanted the "best" I'd get the D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router
