Turning bad situations interesting

Or at least something mildly enjoyable and scienced!

This week has sucked quite a bit and the old brain has been working overtime with sleepless nights to boot. The heat's been absolutely TERRIBLE in this oven of an apartment and now I get to be alone for the next 9 days.

Fueled in this situation, the sport of "mix whisky with everything" has been inducted to action with household ingredients near and far mixed to conjure surprising beverages. Educational, goofy, and hasn't really helped in any way. Success!

When and how have you made the most of a bad situation, or at least made things interesting?

When people aren't in my section at work, I throw shit more often and swear out loud. I'm getting this all out of my system before they install the cameras at the end of the month and I give up and find a better job.

At my old job waiting tables, whenever I had to work really late I would go into the cooler and eat some fresh cheesecake.

When I worked at Barnes and Noble, we sold wrapping paper during the holiday season.

I used to stage big 'ol swordfights with coworkers. Up and down the escalators, climbing on displays, rolling along on the wheeled ladders.

It was pretty rad up until I got written up.

I should've been written up waaaay more often than I was.

Hell, I got away with three days of no-call/no-show without a scratch.

The wrapping paper incident was really the only time I got reprimanded.

I just spent the past five hours sorting and cleaning up my old Writing folder on my laptop. That was an awkward and often times painfully embarrassing experience, wading through the ideas that a younger version of myself once thought were clever or provocative.
