I'm moving out to the East coast for my job this Winter, so my parents wanted to take me and one of my longtime friends to Lake Erie for a weekend since family trips will be hard to come by after I leave. We've been to the Put-In Bay area before and stayed at a place on North Bass that we can't do this time. I'm looking for the following things in a place:
-Not going to piss off my parents. I definitely enjoy my places full of people all about getting obnoxiously drunk together, but this trip is not that trip.
-Have access by boat or whatever to Put-In Bay. I may not want my parents to have to stay in a place full of drunks, but me and my friend are still definitely going to go out at night.
-Preferably be close to the water...we will be bringing up our jet-ski and also just being able to chill with the lake from our room instead of walking somewhere is a plus.
-Aiming for Labor Day weekend, but if that doesn't work out then sometime in September.
Anyone with personal experience or even familiarity with North/Middle/South Bass accomodations?
I don't know about access to Put in Bay but Cedar Point is huge. If you can't do the travel for Put in Bay from there they do have a few marinas attached to the park.

Cedar Point is awesome, but it's only open on weekends during September. It's still worth visiting if at all possible because it is ten times better than any other amusement park you have ever been to in your life.
I've been to Cedar Point many times, and have stayed on that island at least 8 times while growing up. It's a lot of fun, but not the trip I'm looking to take this time around. If it plays any role, it will only be a day trip. I'm definitely looking for more of a lake thing than an amusement park thing. Plus I like CP best around late September, when it gets colder out and the crowds start thinning.
