In the immortal words of CT:
I can actually barely remember anything about it other than it was amazing and the last few levels of the soldier campaign, where you had to build a base by collecting smarties (little builder dudes) and shooting herds of cattle while flying over with your jetpack in order to get the helicopter and awesome nukes to blow up the reavers. I played that level over and over and over. The reavers had way more base building missions but it wasn't as cool as that single soldier one. Playing as kabuto was neat too.
It was released on December 6, 2000 and included some (at the time) pretty advanced visuals. Take a look for yourself.
First let's talk about the humor. NSFW

This game was funny like only irrevrent british comedy can be. I don't know about you chucklefucks but I got some good laughs from every cutscene in the game. It's a blend of a third-person shooter and an RTS and in the course of the beautiful and hilarious singleplayer campaign you play as three different races. The Meccs are the first people you meet.
They have numbers
technology
and some serious firepower on their side
The game also had boobs. Delphi the rogue Sea Reaper was originally clad in a simple transparent skirt leaving her blue tits available to the open air and the oogling eyes of many awkward young boys. But only in Europe. The US and UK got censored versions of the game that gave Delphi a bikini top as well as changing the color of some blood from red to green. In addition to being quite the looker, she is also fun to control.
You can jump.
You can shoot.
And you can summon the immesurable powers of nature to annihalate your enemies. Pretty cool.
Finally there's Kabuto. He's big, he's ugly, and he enjoys putting things in his mouth.
Did I mention he's big?
Well what are you waiting for? Build a base and start blasting away some cycloptic sea-men. If more than one person still has this, perhaps we could play some rounds over hamachi.
Tee hee

oh and giants is an awesome game.
I am so sad I cannot find my CD's.
I never did finish it, but I thought it was the quirkiest game I'd ever played. I loved the characters of Baz and the little Smartie that tagged along with him.
Much, much more personality and imagination than that series, though.
Also noted that this game had blue boobies way, way before Mass Effect, and no one really cared then.
Can trade TF2 items or whatever else you're interested in. PM me.
so close to me leaving your thread open. so close. just fell at the last hurdle by annoying me in an insignificant way.
