I was talking to a gay friend about this yesterday lunchtime, he assured me that some gays actually like tits on a guy. Anyway, more and more men seem to be having these, I noticed it especially this summer; is it in part due to the emasculation of men, we're objectified in adverts, and made confused by the new aggressive breed of girl. Or is it something else?

Not that I like mans.

I am made confused by your penultimate sentence. What the hell does "is it in part due to the emasculation of men, we're objectified in adverts, and made confused by the new aggressive breed of girl" mean?
This applies to everything.
Moobs

I went to GenCon Indy last weekend and people actually waddled it was hilarious
But otherwise this thread is so teh sillay.
Anyway, the presence of estrogen in sewage due to women on birth control pills is currently fairly widely accepted. As for any impact on men, that really remains to be seen.
It means he wants male gender roles to be more like the 1950s of his imagination, where men are men and women know their damn place.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
Yeah, y'know, if we're going to look for goats to scape over The Moob Epidemic!* I would probably guess that bad diet and sedentary lifestyles might have a little bit more to do with it than trace amounts of xenoestrogens.

Ah paradigm shift.
Seriously the crux of this entire issue is, "Not everyone looks the same and some people like the way that other people look".
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
It's been like an hour and with no update I still have no idea what he's actually talking about. Does he mean men with implants?
Well, I'm pretty skeptical about this "Moob epidemic" myself since I see no evidence of it. But, assuming for a minute that it does exist, for one to conclude that diet has more to do with it than exogenous hormones, it would have to tightly correlate with obesity. Since we have no data on the prevalence of moobs, much less how well it correlates with obesity, we can't really say anything about the most likely cause. But if the data on sperm count decline and stuff is real, then that points to a hormonal basis. Now of course the change in hormone balance in men could be due to global changes in eating habits as well, or chemicals used in the production/processing of food. I didn't say that estrogen in sewage is the de facto cause of moobs, nor did I say that estrogen in sewage due to birth control pills means that all birth control pills should be banned or anything. I don't think that discussing possible causes is the same as scapegoating :P
Yeah, see, that's what I think he was actually referring to. The marine down the street from me has moobs, but he could also kill me with one punch.
I haven't looked at the data on sperm count decline, but sperm count is affected by obesity and lack of exercise, too. (As well as stress.)
I'm not discounting the effects of environmental xenoestrogens. I'm skeptical, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were a minor contributing factor.

Don't forget drinking utterly unhealthy amounts of Mountain Dew!
There is that, but they don't spend their times in dark rooms other then that, I mean they are always outside in muscle shirts.
