So I thought I would post this story in the PAX forums, since FF Games is going to have a booth in the Exhibition Hall and they are selling their new Battlestar Gallactica game at the show.
I recently bought the Starcraft boardgame (debuted at PAX last year) at a local game shop. Upon opening it I found that several pieces were DOA, broken into 2 or more pieces.
I contacted their customer service and got a response right away, just asking for my address and a list of the broken pieces. 3 days later I received a small box with all my new miniatures, no hassle or payment needed.
The customer service was so great (plus fast), and the Starcraft boardgame is so fun, that I had to give these guys props publicly and encourage you all to go visit their booth if you didn't plan to already. If you like strategy games at all, their games typically rank pretty high on Boardgamegeek. The production value of each game is the highest I have seen of any company, other than maybe Days of Wonder. This holds true of other games I have seen by them.
I plan to pick up at least one new game from their booth this year (Perhaps
Tannhauser) and definitely let them know how impressed I was with customer service.
That is all!

It's a really fun way to spend a Saturday night, if a little long. Particularly when someone in the Investigator's party pulls consequtive Moon Beasts for random combat.

The staff at the FFG booth are all great folks to talk with and have a great love for all of their games, so stop by and grab a game and say hi.
BTW, for all your Cthulu lovers, this game is Lovecraft-based.
I should bring Drakon with me on the PAX Train.
Dust reminds me of this in April's issue of Wired: Artifacts From the Future - Risk
Look closely and you'll see a space elevator, teleportation facilities, drowned coastlines and a sentient robot legion.

Hey, I can't help it if my Monster Bag powers vastly surpass your puny little investigator's fight check. I learned very early on with that game that if you can't beat them, join them, even if it's unofficial and you don't have the "Join the Winning Team" mission.

It's create? That's a new level of awesome! I'll have to check it out!
Too much blood in my caffeine system this morning, sorry.
I have had a lot of fun playing descent, either with my kids (10, 15) or with friends. It does take a while to play though. 3-4 hours for most scenarios. Ironically I bought this because Battlelore took too long to set up...
My dream is to have a house big enough for a dedicated games room one day. You know, one where you can lock the door so that curious 4 year old hands aren't able to grapple with figs, or rearrange gameboards and their attendant pieces into fractal landscapes. So you can walk away from a game, and come back later knowing that you can just pick up where you left off.
Yes, I have a dream. It's the dream of a game geek, but it is still a dream.
I'm only about 250k short. Donations cheerfully accepted.

Kids (until they are old enough to play Evo) and cats are the bane of gamers everywhere!
