Dunst can act, though. Just because she's not good in Spider-Man doesn't mean she can't act at all.

Laura Prepon was solid in That '70's Show, but there's a reason she was on October Road and Mila Kunis is actually getting acting jobs.
Apparently, Prepon is a lot like her character, so I dunno if it was really acting.

The best thing about Spider-Man was its gigantic box office taking - X-men got the ball rolling, but Spider-man showed the studios that comic book movies were worth a fuckton of money. While this led to a bunch of shitty ones, good stuff like Batman Begins, Iron Man, and TDK probably never would have been made without it. I'm hoping that TDK has a similar effect and shows studios that not watering down characters for movie audiences won't kill your earnings (listening, Watchmen distributors?)

The best thing about Spider-man 2 was the action, and the scene in the Goblin-cave. Plus Bruce Campbell.

The best thing about Spider-man 3 was looking at Gwen Stacy (way hotter than Dunst) and James Franco and his pie. Plus Bruce Campbell.

I'd like to see the next Spider-man film starring Willem Dafoe in every role. It'd be the best one yet, I think.

Anyone else see the first episode of Wolverine's new cartoon? It was alright, and I liked the cameos, but I don;t like the extent to which Wolverine has been changed to suit the role of the leading man.

Also, I have to question the wisdom of choosing a man with metal claws as the star of a children's show when the network will never, ever let him use them on anyone.

It aired on a network called YTV. It'll air in the US in 2009 on the Nicktoon Network.

    Darn canadians, getting everything early.
Though if Avatar was any example, I'm guessing I could find said episode online. Though the question is, do I want to?

It's most noticable on Wolverine and Kitty. A few others. Saw 2 episodes at Comic Con. It was pretty decent but the body style just weirds me out. I can't not notice it.

Beast looks and sounds awesome in it. I just watched the first ep on youtube, it's up in three parts.

The worst thing is occasional awkward and jerky animation- most noticeable when jean blows a kiss and waves, and when wolverine first talks to hank in the underground lab at damaged xavier's

So I just got a new upscaling DVD player for my Birthday, and decided to splash out on some nerd movies that I've been wanting to get for ages. So my Marvel movie collection now looks like this (thanks to a 3 for 2 sale letting me get a bunch of crappy movies on the cheap):

    Blade 1-3
    Daredevil
    Ghost Rider
    Howard the Duck
    Hulk
    Punisher (Tom Jane)
    Spider-Man 1-3
    X-Men 1-3

I want to make one disclaimer, Ghost Rider and Punisher came in a 3pack with Hellboy. I could never have brought myself to pay actual money just for Ghost Rider, it was just a shameful freebie, I swear!

I plan on getting Electra and the FF movies as soon as I see them on a good sale (I don't like paying more than about $10 for crappy movies). So ignoring the animated films and the as yet unreleased Iron Man and Incredible Hulk, are there any other "awesome" Marvel movies are out there that I could add to my collection?

If you're desperate, there're a few TV movies and direct-to-video affairs.

Also, at least the FF movies have Chris Evans.

Because I want the full set and I'm a collector? To be honest I actually didn't mind Elektra or the FF movies, but as I said I don't plan on paying a lot of money for them.

Are there any plans for FF3, or did the second one pretty much kill the franchise?

Nah, I'm not desperate. Just trying to remember if there is any I've missed/had no idea they were Marvel. I actually saw two Blade films before realising they were comic book movies, for example.

That show actually looks pretty awesome. Except for the whole Wolverine part.

I wish they'd go back and make more episodes of the 'Pryde of the X-Men' version. One episode and the amazing game is not enough.

So I'm like a month late but whatever happened to the 'suit over the Watchmen movie?

It goes to trial on January 6.

It's currently set to come out on my birthday.

If anyone fucks with that, there will be trouble. Like, harsh language.

Get the Dolph Lundgren Punisher. I think it's actually pretty fun as long as you appreciate it more as a cheesy 80s action flick than a faithful interpretation of the character.

I dunno. I like Will Smith but really? This isn't like some random character who we doesn't matter. It's like making Rhodey white. There's no real reason.

I don't buy it, personally. That random site claims that it gains ground because...Nick Fury was black. You know. Because there's no black Nick Fury.
