    More than you.

I felt the need to try out first class on Virgin America on my way back home for an extra $400. I can't wait to
see if it is worth it. (Signs point to no...)

    Pass - $40
Plane ticket (round trip) - $180
    Hotel share (thu-sun) - $125
    Airport parking share - $10
    Booze/snack share - $45
    Anticipated transit costs - $5
    ___
$405, though since my wife and I share our bank account, $810 for the both of us so far.

We also bought two DS' and two games, so there's another $350.

    Pass was 40.
I'll have to pay for parking at the con, so that'll be about 15 or 20 a day.

Food, t-shirts and whatever goodies I find to buy always tend to pile on. It's too early to tell just yet. 8-)

My wife and share finances, so I'll estimate some of her costs and collective costs.

3-day passes in case blue badges fall through: $90
    BYOC passes: $50
Cost of our own dinners: $60
Cost of dinners we're subsidizing for Chris Taylor: $30
Cost of supplies not included in cost passed on to attendees: $150 and climbing
Cost of case of mead for booze exchange: $130

So that's $510 and counting. Not including the (insane) cost of the wig my wife is getting since I'm sure she'll get more use out of that than just PAX. I don't know what the gas and food totals are going to end up, or what swag I may or may not get, etc.

    Passes: $135.00 (for 3 at Pre-Registration Rate)
Train Tickets: $48 (for three from Olympia to Seattle, one way. We're carpooling back, yay!)
Costume Material for RSPD Contest: Roughly $100, I lost count.
    Extra Funds for Misc: $100.00

    Total so far: $383.00

Things I'm glad for? The fact that I live 2 hours from Seattle, and that my boyfriend's mom lives there and is willing to give us all room and board....and possibly feed us.

Sadly, not a lot of spending money this year :( But at least most the cool stuff is free!

Settle down Action Jackson, I got it for the homebrew! I'm very excited about writing my own homebrew apps =D. It looks like all you need is some C++ knowledge, some libraries, and a special compiler. I could really get into something like that, and my mind is reeling with the possibilities. Of course, iphone homebrew community is probably more poppin right now, but fat chance I'm going to be joining them any time soon...

As for illegal activities, on my internet?! Unheard of!!

Student advantage: is something I signed up for when I bought my amtrak tickets because it conferred an instant 15% discount. The 15% discount for the tickets already outweighed the $20 I spent on the card. Apparently, it's good for discounts at a bunch of other places I don't shop at =P.

Man, how did you guys get in so cheap at the Sheraton? My company is paying a shade over $1100 for each room for Thursday-Monday.

But yea, no money is coming out of my pocket for this trip ;)

    About $878 for my flight
    About $1100 for the hotel
    $400 meal/taxi/shuttle allowance

grand total: almost $2400 for me alone, nevermind 2 co-workers that are coming ;)

$187.50 - Hotel (Moore, Thurs night through Sun)

I've currently lucked out on room rates up front as I'm mooching floor space in my sisters room.
(Though I will be reimbursing her at a later date)

$50 for an at-the-door ticket (wasn't sure I could even make it till after pre-reg was over).
$40 for gas for my friends car, which is about half of what we'll need for the round trip (we're coming from eastern WA, so it's not cross-country or anything)
No more than $25 for food - brown-bagging it for the most part.
Maybe a cheap trip to a fast food place.... Go go dollar menu!

Transport: 630 - 2 @ Last minute slacker amtrak rate for WCTT
Hotel 781.46 - Sheraton, PAX rate, 4 nights, tax incl
    PAX passes 80 - 2 @ early bird rate
Ravenclaw gear for pub crawl - like, 65 bucks? I'm buying a v-neck sweater as part of it, I'll get more use out of that but I wouldn't have bought it otherwise.
    Buttons - 40 -ish

$1596.46 so far, so $798.23 each.

4 days in Seattle will cost me more than 2 weeks in NY did last month. Things i should have done in retorspect: maybe find someone to split the room with, buy train tickets earlier!
