Tell me if this deserves a better name...

Anyway, first off, Tycho posted a broken link! It's supposed to go to .pdf version of this years guide, which would be nice to see. Secondly, we have this, which is basically a version of the convention map that can be used on most phones. Of course, check the post(s) yourself for info.

The Omegathon prize has been pictured as well, custom Wii, X360 and PS3 with PAX08 "art/skins" on them. First and second place scores them. I just want a skin! Also, a limited edition PAX08 Razer mouse that's being sold at the PA booth, as well as the RSPD Collectors. Oh, and Gabe posted the time of his "interview" on the BJ Shea show tomorrow, though that's covered in another thread.

So... what do you guys think?

    Whoa...

    That is an epic loot table if I ever saw one. I'm thoroughly jealous, but also extremely glad for the contestants.

    yah, i put it on my phone. I doubt I'll actually use it at pax, but it's fun to play with atm.

    i have a blackbeery but i turned off my internet for the moment due to the phone being shitty., is there a way to get that map on the phone without having the phone download it?

    like there there somewhere to dl the file and then transfer it to my phone via cord?

    yah, just click on the blackberry icon and it should have a bunch of options...at least it did for my sony ericsson.

    Cellmap appears to not support Windows Mobile or iPhone...FAIL.

    Windows mobile and iPhone ARE fail, especially if they don't support a specifically platform agnostic language like Java.

    I have put it on my Nokia with no problems, and it fucking whips the llama's ass. This is seriously badass, not only does it have the map, but it has everything from the schedule, and it has other amenities like restaurants indexed to the map.

    Agreed on the FAIL part. Hopefully Google's "Android" won't be fail (open source ftw!) but we'll see... Anyway yeah it's a badass map, and you forgot it also has the exhibit hall layout on it as well, and it can be run on the PC! Now that's full of win.

    Meh i don't have e-mail on my blackberry so i just saved the phone image they have and put it on my ipod touch. Oh and i will most defiantly listen to BJ Shay seeing as i always do.

    While an OS that ignores platform-agnostic language is FAIL, so is ignoring a core chunk of your potential demographic in the Smartphone market.

    Thus, DOUBLE FAIL.

    I just saved the whole map, blew it up a little in photoshop, then saved it to my Touch. Not perfect, but I can make out most things okay.

    The one thing I wanted to post about from todays news post.. is I REALLY hope they limit the PAX mouse to ONE PER PERSON, end of discussion. If not, you're probably going to see people buying 3 or more of them, then trying to hawk them for $200+ the day after.

    I'm sure they'll keep it at 1 per person. I might just buy one, I love the mouse I have, but this isn't something I want to pass up on! I just wish they were also selling PAX08 console skins, that would be epic.

    I think for PA Swag I might just get the special edition version of the game and a TShirt. What other kinds of things did they have last year?

    I don't remember anything special last year. Just the usual PAX t-shirt.
