I thought I'd just make a thread, seeing as this is my first post. This is my first PAX, and I haven't been on the board long, so I don't know anyone. I read the entire thread everyone is suppose to read before asking questions, so now I have a couple: I've read about the wristbands for the concert, which likely aren't necessary, but might be good to have. Someone said something about being in the preregister line, but then it looked like you just have to be in the first 3,000 in line to get into the show Friday afternoon. Which is it? Also, I haven't gotten tickets yet, but can probably have the money in my account to do so tomorrow morning. Is it to late to by them online then? I'm flying in around 8pm tomorrow night, so should I buy online and try to make it to will call, or just show up Friday morning and get tickets?

Just show up and pay at the door, there will be plenty of space.

Enjoy the PAX, it will be my first as well. :D

Even if you don't score a wrist band at the line there are alternatives. Ask around if people want theirs, sweet talk the right enforcers, things like that.

Also; the concerts are great but there are amazing alternatives this year. There are a couple sweet parties for a more social setting (including the champions party, green tortiose, 1up at Gameworks, etc). The concerts are fun but crowed and less social.

I'd say hit a concert one day and something else another so that next year you can decide a more personal choice. 'Cause you will be back next year

Don't worry, there will be no limit of pax passes sold at the door. Show up, and rest easy in line. Play your DS while you wait, buy your pass, then enjoy PAX!

As far as wristbands, every year they give them out. The wristbanded people get into the concerts first, then people who do not have them are allowed in to fill the space on a first-come first-serve basis.

I'll tell you, having been at every PAX, only the first year did the concerts run out of space, and that's because we had a very very small theater in a smaller venue. This year there are more people coming, but I am guessing the interest in concerts (which is undoubtably high) will probably only be around last year's numbers.

You can also walk in and out of the concert freely, whenever you want.

Not to sound rude, but if it's your first PAX as well, how do you know how much space there will be?

Cause people have said it in other threads. Read my post, I've been to every PAX.

Okay, that works. I'm more interested in not missing Friday's concert than Saturday's. What night is the Gameworks party? I think I should've spent more time reading other threads instead of every page of the introductory thread.

They will be rockin' Gameworks Saturday at 9pm. It will be a 21 and over thing. I'm not sure it's been posted anywhere on the threads though. The only place I've heard their plans is on the podcast. But seeing as GameWorks is across the street I'd think people would wonder over curious like.

Other than the parties, I think Gameworks should just be open for normal business. So during the day you should be able to wander over there and play a game of DDR or Pac Man or whatever.
