    This looks awesome.

Also, way back in the day (freshman year of high school) me and my class made a game on liberty basic. That game was this but instead of tanks it was horizontal sticks we told ourselves were tanks.

It IS Scorched Earth. Except in realtime instead of being turn based (if the trailer is any indication)

Back in 2002, I got a Sega Saturn. I had heard people talking about some "Death Tank" game that was hidden on Duke Nukem 3D for the Saturn. It was supposed to be a 7-player realtime Scorched Earth deal. Eventually I was able to get Duke Nukem 3D. Turns out that a Quake save was required in order to unlock Death Tank Zwei -- either that or you could break all the toilets in Duke Nukem to unlock it.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I unlocked the game, got a multitap and 7 controllers, and tested it out with some friends.

Best multiplayer game ever. We've played a few epic 50-round games.

"Hey, kids! Iiiiiit's time for a BLITZ ROOOUUUUND!"

    edit:

So what I'm saying is I am very excited about Death Tank, although it is sad it's probably not possible to do a 7-player local game.

My friends always hated me when I got enough money to buy a hover coil + 5 or 6 MIRVs.

    Step 1: Hover over opponent.
Step 2: Fire MIRV straight up.
Step 3: Hover to the right and watch all 5 shells land directly on opponent's tank.
Step 4: Hope opponent didn't buy corbomite.

I am quite happy that I purchased my 360 in June.

I knew there was an XBLA release I was excited about this week.

Im a bit hesitant about the realtime aspect (I'm used to Worms and SE) but it should make it more chaotic... and chaos is always fun with friends.

Bought as soon as I get home.

Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
I’ll tell you what happens in Demon’s Souls when you die. You come back as a ghost with your health capped at half. And when you keep on dying, the alignment of the world turns black and the enemies get harder. That’s right, when you fail in this game, it gets harder. Why? Because fuck you is why.

I played the demo briefly, although only the arcade mode. Seems like a faithful reproduction of the original. A shame they're charging 1200 points for it. I'm sure it'd be worth it for me to get it, but I've been too busy with WoW lately for any Death Tank action.

Basically, enough games have sold at that price point now, that MS is probably going to just charge that much so they can get more blood out of the stone. I imagine by this time next year, 800MSP new arcade games will be but a distant memory

Its similar to worms in that regard. I think there's like 4 different tilesets that are used in a random level generator. The tilesets themselves look quite nice as well.

Im really enjoying it so far. I dunno if its new or not, but there's "Theme Rounds" were for that round there's special rules, like "Unlimited Jump Jet, Lasers only". These are entertaining in their own rights, and give other players a chance to catch up.

I've regretted buying XBLA games before (I'm looking at you, SF2HD) but I do not regret this. Like Bomberman, this one is a great party game.
