The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Finally, finally my East Coast inferiority complex can be relegated only to their Jack in the Box and their dankest nuggets, because in 2010, PAX is coming East.
Straight out of the mouths of Tycho and Gabe (Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins) to Joystiq: The first East Coast PAX is coming to Boston in 2010. Check back later for our full interview with the Penny Arcade duo!
the best part is that pedestrians have legal right of way at all times, so cars basically have to stop for you regardless of context
oddly this is also the worst part if you're driving!
once you get to the city though you really shouldn't need to drive around.
Just because they have to stop it doesn't mean they actually do, ever. Even if you're in the crosswalk next to the little sign of the stick man crossing the road in the sidewalk in the middle of the road, that does not mean the cars will stop I have discovered.

In Massachusetts? People constantly walk into the middle of the road here. It's almost considered proper etiquette when walking around the city.

There's a big difference between driving in the rest of MA and here in Boston.
I live right outside the city, and work in the city, and have spent countless weekends from when I was in like eighth grade, riding the T into the city to walk around and explore and whatnot.
I mean, the law is how I represented it. I guess it's a whatever floats your boat kind of thing but I cannot recall ever waiting at a pedestrian signal in Boston unless there are like a million cars driving through the crosswalk.

Good thing I have plenty of time to think it over.
I mean, we could all be dead by then.
Also, Boston is expensive!
