Conver Switch into a Router?

Well, generally no, you can't convert a switch to a router.
Both routers and switches manage network traffic intelligently, the difference being that a switch switches packet data over a LAN, whereas a router does the same thing, except across multiple LANs or a WAN, often acting as gateways.
In that regard, there's usually additional hardware inside a router, making a purely software upgrade mostly impossible. Assuming you're using off-the-shelf home equipment.

Layer-3 switches do exist that have a set of routing functions built-in, but these are generally high-end and expensive enterprise products.
