Can anyone tell me what brand/model they were? And roughly how much they cost? I really enjoyed how wonderful those headphones worked for me, and the quality of the mic, not to mention that this is very friendly for people with hearing aids such as myself :-)
If anyone was on the TF2 games sometime on Saturday night and Sunday, I went by the handle of TWO! THE COUNT

Had a wonderful time fragging and dying :-D
LOL hi Phil. I didnt notice your name until I got to the hearing aids part. but yes, I too would like to know the brand of headphones.
I used to pimp up Sennheiser HD280s for gaming; these are definitely making me give that a second thought.
They MSRP $40 and $50, respectively. Fucking worth every dollar.
Uhhhh...
Well, they weren't bad, but the build quality didn't feel up to HD280 quality, and the sound isolation was nowhere near what the HD280 provide. In fact, the isolation wasn't much better than what my beyerdynamic DT880 provide, and those are an open design.
However, the fact that they're so cheap and incorporate a mic, and don't have the clamping force of the HD280 (which is why the 280s have such great isolation), means that they're a good deal. I'd still recommend the DT770 over them for comfort/sound, especially if you want to listen to music, but the DT770 are a lot more expensive, too.
They were pretty friggin' sweet, and we greatly appreciate Plantronics helping us out with 'em!

And while we're on the subject, the Plantronics team was on the ball and very interested in how everything was going. If I get the chance, I'll mention that people were asking about them!
