It's weird everyone here mentions Secret of Mana and the co-op.

I think mainly because I never once knew an SNES owner that had a multi-tap.

And sugar water helps with dysentery. I grew up with a Ms. Pac-man cocktail table in my house that my father taught me to tinker around with, and I remember my mom playing the Kings Quest series with me to teach me how to type.

That said, my first console was a nintendo, and my favorite game for it is still Startropics. The original was gold, and the sequel was a decent game. Its a real shame they haven't done more with it. My manual is long gone, but I can tell you that the code from the good doctors letter is 747.

I was all about licensed games when I was a kid, so the TMNT, Simpsons, and X-Men cabs at Chuck E. Cheese were 3 of my big ones. When I got a Genesis it was X-Men 2: Clone Wars, Streets of Rage 2, and a couple others I just can't think of right now. When I got my N64 things changed a bit, especially when I got ahold of Goldeneye. After that it was OoT, MM, and Perfect Dark.

I thought when I mentioned the multi-tap, people would put two and two together and figure out that I meant the 3-player co-op.

I used to love Crystalis, but I was so young I didn't really understand what I was doing. Started from the beginning so many times. I should go back and actually play it now.

I used to play through Ikari Warriors 3 all the fucking time, and Guerilla War too. Love that oldschool SNK.

And then when I finally got a SNES, it was I think a year after it came out, so instead of coming with Super Mario World, it came packaged with motherfucking Super Metroid. Took me so long to figure that game out in my younger years. Will always be one of my favorites.

And you know that one guy in the world that kind of liked Bubsy? Yo. Don't ask me why, because I do not have an answer. I think I was a bit masochistic.

Man, I used to fucking love Bubsy when I was a kid. I played it again a few months ago, and holy shit, what an annoying game.

And I know this is reaching a bit, but there's this game I used to play that I can't remember the name of. I'm pretty sure it let you select from three people, and it was a medieval hack n' slash sorta game. There was a tall (maybe muscular) dude, I think a chick, and a dwarf or short guy. Maybe it was a short girl, I can't remember.

It may have been Gauntlet, but I recall it had side-scrolling semi-platforming elements (think Castlevania, that kinda thing) early in the game, if not throughout the entire game.

Anyone have any idea what it might have been? It was on the NES. MAYBE Genesis, but I'm like 90% sure it was NES.

I swear, if I could find a remake or port of Quartet I'd buy five copies. This game also got my mother into games so she'd spend time trying to beat Sonic 2 back in the day.

Also the entire Sega Smash Pack dominated my life from 11-13. I still haven't best Phantasy Star II and the last level of The Super Shinobi still stumps me (watch me be retarded and miss something simple).

Oh god, Drez. I was thinking about that game a couple weeks back and had no idea what the name was. I don't even remember what it was that you did in it, just a vague memory of the graphics and the map.

Now someone post that weird puzzle solving game where you were in an archipelago or some shit. I have vague memories of that too.

Is that the game where you collected robot parts and they came through on a conveyor belt and you could "ANALYZE" them? Came out around the same time as Rescue on Fractalus!?

Dragon Warrior, Crystalis, Contra, Milon's Secret Castle (though it was wayy too fucking hard), Final Fantasy, Baseball Stars, Wizards and Warriors, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy 2 (first SNES game I ever played), Ogre Battle, Chrono Trigger, Sim City (SNES version), Earthbound, the list goes on and on.

I don't think it is possible to pick any one game, I loved them all.

There's one game I cannot remember the name of.

I remember it was a horizontal sidescroller.

    I remember being outdoors.

I remember brick buildings with windows.

I remember you have a jetpack.

I remember you have a blaster with limited shots, or you could find a blaster - can't remember which.

I remember you could shoot out the windows and find items.

I think it was in the 1986-1991 era because the graphics are better than most 1985 and prior games I looked at.

I also think the game name started with an "M" or maybe the developer/publisher did. Like Mind-something. Or maybe it was from Mastertronic. But I cannot locate the game. Haven't been able to for years.
