How much should I offer a guy to loan me his truck to move a couch?

Guy isn't a friend, but we work at the same company.

Round trip is about 30 miles.

I suspect he'll offer to help for free, but I don't want to freeload.

Suggestions?

Definately pay for gas, and maybe offer him to pay for lunch one day.

Pay gas and take the guy out for drinks.

Fill the tank. If it was really low and the tank is really big, put $20 or $30 or so past what you used. These days, a full tank of gas is worth more than lunch and drinks.

Pay for gas + $40. And pay for lunch if he helps you move.
