COMODO firewall locked me out of everything and will not die. FIXED, LOCK

So I heard COMODO was better than Zone Alarm, and decided to try it on my new (Vista) PC. I could never get it to open after installation, and ended up uninstalling it. It was then I began having progressively worse internet connectivity issues. After some investigation, I found the COMODO folder in C:/Program Files was still there, which I deleted. I also deleted all the registry entries I could find.
COMODO is still listed in the add/remove programs window, though if I try to uninstall it says there's no such program and disappears until reboot. I disabled the COMODO process from starting up, which is troubling because it should not be in the msconfig startup menu if I deleted it.
I am now totally unable to get any network functionality out of that computer, even to connect to the router at 192.168.1.1
Any ideas?
edit: Managed to download the setup file to a USB drive and reinstall/uninstall after running CCleaner. Moral of the story: Don't fucking download this program.
