This is my first posting and I was just wondering if there was anyone willing to explain the newest comic to me. Does this suggest that John Coulton is a Love Machine? I realize that this is a stupid question and the the message is probably very clear, however, I have never heard of JOCO outside of this strip.
I thought that the girl emerging from the trailer was Gabe's wife, who had just been brutally fucked by Jonathan Coulton who was in fact a cold steel robot who takes advantage of adoring fleshlings, and Tycho is either horrified by Gabe's complicity in this cross-species transgression or by the fact that Gabe is unaware that his paramour's depths were plumbed the cold iron rod of one of our soon-to-be mechanical overlords.

I was at the create-a-strip panel, allow me to clarify.
The idea is that JOCO engages in kinky orgies including hot redheads and robots. He is not one himself.
Tycho is jealous.

that is far less sinister and thus less interesting.
The red head, the robot, and Gabe all just got done with some JoCo lovin. Tycho is expressing jealousy. There were plans to remove Gabe's shirt and show JoCo in the background in the 3rd panel, but with Gabe's system crashing (see Wednesday's strip) that didn't happen. Don't feel bad, I was at the panel where they drew it, and even still none of this is all that clear to me.
Panel 1: Tycho goes to knock on Coulter's trailer.
Panel 2: Tycho is suprised by a number of Jonathan Coulter's pleased-looking groupies emerge, implying sexual relations.
Panel 3: Gabe emerges, looking even more pleased than the previous groupies, the implication being that Gabe had sex with Jonathan Coulter (building on the implication offered by Panel 2). This hurts Tycho to the depth of his fragile soul, hence the crying.
Voila.

I think one thing that might have helped would be to have Gabe more inside the trailer, if he is indeed coming out. It seems like he could have just walked up. The removal of his shirt would have helped, too.

I thought this as it was being drawn. But for the pose to look right, he would have to be holding on to the door frame with one hand, and the "double thumbs up" was a key element.
I get the whole, Tycho thinking Gabe's just had it away with JOCO, but what still isn't explained is why JOCO is a robot. Also is the girl emerging from the trailer supposed to be felcia day, cause she did a duet of still alive with him at PAX and they mention it in the 'news' related to the comic.

what a work of art is man, and the most boring choice you can make
I wasn't at the Create a Strip panel but the red hair was added by the audience. I'm pretty sure that the audience meant for it to be Felicia Day after her duet with JoCo singing Still Alive.

Not really, Atlus. The girl that asked Mike to change the girl to a redhead was a redhead herself. Probably just some self insertion.
But Pogo, JoCo is not the robot. The idea is that Coulton was having a 4 way with the girl, the robot and Gabe. And that's supposed to be jealousy on Tycho's face. Scott Kurtz helped Mike come up with that expression. I don't really like it.

Phew, if EM couldn't get it.. Then I don't feel bad not getting it.
That, or Gabe is in fact one of the people who just emerged from the trailer.
That's what I got out of it. Tycho knocks and a line of groupies come streaming out, including a robot and Gabe.

Yeah, I didn't get "jealousy" out of it at first. It looked more like, "Oh, the humanity" to me.
So, at least I'm more of a loser than you are.
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
you are correct sir.
