Am I missing anything with the Xbox Arcade?

Ok, I'm about to go buy an Xbox 360 Arcade tomorrow since they've done the price drop. I'm not worried about the component cable, as I'll be connecting via HDMI. I have ethernet cables here by the truckload. I was going to buy a HD off of ebay, since they're running about $30.

Anything I'm missing by not going with the Premium?

    Headset?

Otherwise, now that the Arcade comes with a wireless controller, I don't think there's a difference... just make sure it has HDMI (they all should by now unless you're getting an insanely old one, but... *shrug*)

The hard drive too, right? I think... I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly the Pro and higher have hard drives, while the Arcade doesn't.

If you're getting the hard drive on Ebay then you should be fine, as long as it is quality and not broken.

I've been considering buying an X-Box now too since the price drop as there are a lot of Live game downloads that I'm interested. I love Bionic Commando Rearmed Multiplayer, and with Duke3d and Death Tank coming I can't imagine not owning my own to play online with my friends from home. Plus I'm going for a weekend trip to a friends house this week for a couple days who lives in Portland Or which means no sales tax.

Question I have is; Can you buy an Arcade version (comes with no HD) and just buy a standard PC HD for it or does it use some kind of special MS X-Box only HD? If that's the case I might just buy the 60gb version.

Also, I've heard people waiting for the "Jasper" X-Box 360 release, what does that mean? I haven't bought a Console since the Nintendo 64.

I thought the Arcades came with HDMI cable since forever ago?

Edit: Huh, no ignore me. Looks like it's still composite only. I guess it was that it now supports HDMI output but it didn't before or something.

No, you can't buy just any old HD. It has to be a Microsoft XBox 360 hard drive.

So I'm not missing anything other than the headset?

    Yep. I grabbed a 20GB for under $35.
