From what I hear, she was a heartless bitch in the comics. I think the way the cartoon handled her was a lot more compelling.

Of course, everything in that show was great as long as Slade was involved.

Man, they didn't treat Batman any differently in Justice League. Sure, it wasn't always as dramatic, but he was definitely pumped up, physically and mentally, from his maximum capabilities in BTAS. JL Batman and TT Robin were both given exaggerated, but not expressly superhuman, skills so that they could keep up with their metahuman teammates and still be the 'mighty for a mortal' of the team.

Apparently a big problem there was with the korean animators, who didn't really know much about Batman and assumed he was super-strong and could fly because he wore a cape.

At least, that's how it goes when you check out the commentary on the superman TAS DVDs for the eps where batman shows up.

Nice pair of episodes today for Legion and The Batman.

[spoiler:50b559f555]I wasn't paying too much attention to the show, so it took me till the last 10 minutes for me to realize that Supes' new friend was Lex Luthor's decendant. A future remake of the original balding was pretty cool to see.[/spoiler:50b559f555]

The Batman:
[spoiler:50b559f555]It was a nice fight between the Clayfaces and cool for them to use the Basil Karlo character instead of the more reconizable Matt Hagen. Nice to see that Ethan Bennett's still gonna be around, especially with Yin gone.[/spoiler:50b559f555]

I don't have the WB right now so I can't even check out this Legion business.

I'm just patiently waiting for the animated New Frontier movie to come out. It shall be ridiculously delightful. I have no doubt of this in mind.

Now, the animated Judas Contract...I liked the story all right, but if they intend to stick with that art style (like they said they do) then yikes, that stuff is not gonna animate that well. It's gonna like old GI Joe cartoons. Plus Nightwing has a real fruity costume in the comic.

I think they'll be able to animate the more realistic look much better nowadays. It'll be a lot cleaner looking and such.

It won't look anywhere near as nice as New Frontier is going to. Darwyn Cooke is really involved and he's worked in animation before and blah blah whatever he is so totally awesome.

TECHNICALLY Beast Boy's the "Mighty Mortal".

But I get what you're saying. It's hard to be the physical fighter when you've got a superstrong alien on your team, and it's hard to be the gadget-user when you've got a half-mechanical teammate. They had to give him something.
