this guy has terrible timing and delivery

It's a very unique thing, I can see how not everyone would enjoy it
    That said
The jokes wouldn't be as funny if they weren't told in his exaggerated style

it is not for everyone i suppose, the way british comedy doesn't always make american people laugh and so on

Yeah, I get it. It's almost like he's playing his own straight man, if that makes sense.

Album's good, but not great, certainly not as good as his other work. Can sort of tell he's struggling... he always laughs off a few bad jokes, it's what he's known for, but it seems like he spends half his set trying to recover.

It was also new material that he hadn't gotten just right yet
And obviously he never got the chance to

his movies and shows are sufficiently bad enough that I don't think a half decent standup show makes up for his sins

To get back on topic, did anyone go through the little booklet that came with the CD? It has a bunch of his jokes that he scribbled on paper along with pictures, pretty neat.

So it wasn't a rumor that he was sometimes drunk/stoned while on stage?

I really can't say it's a surprize, but I haven't seen any of his standup other than what's been on Comedy Central and a few talk shows so I hadn't seen enough to know if it was true.
i think it only got bad near the end, but yeah he was pretty clearly hopped up on something

I wanted to stick around and talk to him, but while we were waiting my jewish girlfriend at the time overheard some douchebags making jew jokes for some reason and she got really uncomfortable and made us leave

She better have made up for that.

I saw Daniel Tosh two nights ago. It was incredible... I got his autograph and accidently insulted him afterwards. I guess being a comedian doesn't mean you love people saying terrible things about you. Go figure.

The one I heard (only a CD sadly, havent actually SEEN his stand-up), he tells this story about Liam Neeson and a cat in Ireland and does a Liam impersonation and it is just awesome. No idea how long ago it's from.

Gonna listen to that again tonight.
