I never watched a primetime tv show before. I wonder if I should watch some new shows this season all the way. Any suggestions? P.S. I like watching from the beggining.

It would be helpful if you listed some things that you're interested in to get a better gauge of the kind of show you'd like. Fringe is a show starting on Fox tonight, though -- first season ever, starts at 8PM EST. Why not go to some websites like ABC, FOX, etc. and check their shows line-up and see what appeals to you? I don't know about many shows starting up this season, a lot of the shows that are already big have been going on and you'll need to get the DVDs to catch up.

Here are some popular/good TV shows along with their station: Breaking Bad (AMC), Lost (ABC -- and you'll definitely need to watch from the beginning to understand this), Weeds (Showtime), Dexter (Showtime), Battlestar Galactica (SciFi), Bones (Fox), House (Fox), Burn Notice (USA), Psych (USA) -- there's a bunch of others, depending on what you like, but they're some good shows for you to check out, anyway.

I'd say just hit up netflix or blockbusters and start renting the first DVDs of some shows. Watching the DVDs of seasons is a great and fun way to catch up.

I'm not sure if Battlestar Galactica is over or what but you should watch them in order. All of them. Now.

If you're in the US, a lot of these shows are on Hulu, so you could catch up before the new seasons start.

    LOST

Seriously, I started watching it for the first time a couple of months ago and it's now like my favorite show ever. You can watch the first 4 seasons online for free at ABC.com. You have plenty of time until season 5 starts in January.

But for the love of god, avoid the internet while watching it. I spoiled so much just by looking up barely related things on Wikipedia.

It's not quite done yet, there's like a half season to go after the seemingly endless hiatus.

I guess I should have brought this up:

    1. I live in Canada

    2. I dont have a desposible income

    3. I would rather watch a series from the very beginning.

I was wondering if anyone knows if a station is rebroadcasting a good show from the beginning.

Not sure about Canada, but It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia's new season starts on the 16th. It isn't prime time, and it isn't exactly censored but oh my god is it funny :D.

edit: It is on FX in the United States.

Space just started rebroadcasting Lost two days ago from the first ep. It's on Monday to friday but I don't know what timezone you are in so I ccan't say the exact time.

Fringe was thoroughly awful, but the concept of the show could turn into something decent.

House episodes/seasons are pretty self contained.
