This is a quickie, I figured there might be a few owners of Tokyo flash's watches due to the style of them, here on these forums.
I'm thinking of buying one (rogue to be exact) but I'm fairly wary of buying things like watches online, as it's hard to judge build quality, especially for an unknown brand.
How have you found them? Reliable? Good service and warranty? They have some really interesting designs.
I have a couple tokyoflash watches and the build quality seems good for the price. I haven't had any issues with either of them so I can't really comment on their warranty service though. Their free shipping is fast and they mark down the value so you don't get hit by customs, which is awesome imo.
Do you know how you paid? I live in Australia, and there isn't an option to show in our currency (only US dollars), so will it be taken from the Yen? (which would be great), or taken from the US dollar (bad).
It works out to be 20 dollars cheaper from the yen due to the conversion rate.
I believe (I could be wrong, but i'm almost certain this is how it works) that if you pay by credit card, it'll charge your bank in yen, and your bank converts it using whatever their current exchange rate is.
Also, in my earlier post when I said the build quality was good for the price, I mainly meant it depends on the watch, i.e I have one of these http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/ince/cdisc/ which was pretty nice for a 95$ish watch, and I have one of these http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/independent/itr21-5051/ which looks awesome and feels/appears to be solid as a rock.

I have the Star Performer, paid something like $80 or $90 CDN.
of all the watches I've owned before, this one is definitely the best. It seems pretty sturdy since it's lasted quite a few drunken weekends with not even a scratch anywhere.

All of the watches have their own trick. Usually clicking on the watch will tell you how in a general sense. They come with instructions too. Some seem like they would be easy with a pinch of practice and some sound like a real pain.
I have the 1259 G, and it is brilliant. Sturdy as shit, and always a conversation starter. One problem is that it seems to get about 1 minute fast per month, but it's quick to adjust.
I've got the C Stainless. It's nice, but I got tired of wearing it. It was a lot bigger than I wanted, and even after I got the hang of it, it was still inconvenient to read.
You can order them from Amazon.com, if that helps.
Like I said in Drez's watch thread, I'm not sure I would want to wear something that seems to scream "I am under house arrest and this device electrocutes me if I leave the perimeter."
Their watches that actually look like watches are not bad.

The watch the OP is interested in doesn't fit that description. It actually looks pretty cool:

Rollers are red, chargers are blue....omae wa mou shindeiru
I just saw those watches and I think I'm going to buy one.
Now to decide on one.
EDIT: There also seems to be plenty of youtube videos on the watches themselves, which is nice to actually see more of them. I think I may get the Shinshoku
I just read that the rogue one isn't always green, only when you press the button That's disappointing.
Uh, what color is it otherwise? And where did you read this?
You have to press a button to make it light up.
Otherwise it just looks like:
Tokyoflash
the time can be read at a glance but can be further illuminated with three sci-fi green LEDs at the touch of a button, bringing the display to life like a glowing radar screen, especially at night or in a dark room.

I have the collectors " Blue LED Pimp" watch, a very cool watch. The LED has gone out and is damaged by no apparent reason. It's the only Tokyo Flash watch I've owned, and I can't really say what the quality of the watches are.
I still love the designs and would buy another simply because there are no other watches quite like them.
My next watch from them will be the "Morse code" watch. It displays Morse code in LED or tells time with normal digits. It also has some sort of speaker function that audibly sounds out the time in Morse code.

I've always wanted to buy one of these watches but I never have the money whenever someone reminds me of them...

I just looked through all of them and a lot of them seem really freaking hard to read but really cool looking at least. I like the gun metal ones on page 3 but I wish that they had a more high-quality and rugged look to them. They look a little plasticky
I kind of want one, but I barely even wear watches. I have a nice simple silve and black leather that I don't even wear more than a few times a month.

though to be fair, I'm like, half mentally retarded and it takes me a second to read analog clocks.
But he sent it back to them and they gave him a replacement, free of charge! Watch has been fine since then.
And might I add, a Tokyoflash watch is guaranteed to start a conversation. Usually involving you (the wearer) explaining how to read the damn thing.
I'm torn between

Yeah, that's the one I'm leaning more towards.

edit: Yeah nope. It doesn't do it for me anymore. I wish there was an option to make it display green constantly. That'd be cool.
heh, at least this thread got tokyoflash a few customers aye?
