Quick XP Pro folder display question

The Dude With Herpes

On the "My Music" folder, somehow all the folder titles have been turned off from view and I just see a bunch of folders with CD icons on them; none of them have names that I can see.

When I go into the folder though, it shows the correct folder name on the address bar.

I'm not seeing it in the view options anywhere; how the hell do I turn the folder names back on?

I know I'm going to feel like an idiot when someone tells be, but damnit it's pissing me off.

Is name checked under view > choose details? I've never heard of this problem and generally windows won't let you turn off name in that.

What view do you use? Details, List, Thumbnail, etc?

It's actually very easy to hide folder and file names as long as you're using the thumbnail view, all you have to do is to hold down the SHIFT key while selecting the thumbnail view. I don't really see much use for this functionality though.

And to change it back you have to change the view and reselect thumbnails whilst holding shift again.
