Battlestar Galactica...did I miss something?

Okay I recently got into Battlestar Galactica (found the first season for cheap and that got me hooked). I recently got Season 2.5 used and I put it in tonight...and the first episode doesn't seem to correspond with where I ended with season 1. Is Season 2 and season 2.5 different? I thought it was just Season 2 + some random extras/extended episodes (like X-Men 2.5).

Last episode of season 1 I remember:
Episode "Kobol's Last Gleaming, part 2" --> Starbuck back on Caprica, Boomer dropping nuke in Cylon base-ship, seeing a bunch of clones of herself, coming back and shooting Admiral Adama



This first 4 minutes of Season 2 that I'm watching I have:
Episode "Pegasus (extended)" --> Adama is fine, Starbuck is back on Galactica and they're trying to make it to Caprica? Something like that?


So...I'm missing something, right?

    Yeah, season 2.5 is the second half of season 2. So you should definitely get season 2.0 before you spoil yourself anymore.

    Awwwwwwwww. Here I was thinking I got a bargain. Guess I'll hit up the old Wal-Mart tomorrow and see if they have it in stock.

    Yeah, Pegasus is like the middle of the season. You have to watch Season 2 before Season 2.5.

    And theres a movie 'Razor' about what happened on the Pegasus. It was alright.

    (I thought it was pretty awesome actually, but theres a little fan bias going on there for sure)

    But I'd suggest watching Razor after you finish season 2. It'll make sense.

    Yeah, don't watch Razor until after season 3. It takes place during late season 2, but it spoils some minor stuff from later on.
